That silly boy,
Who crashed because he flew to high,
Whose wax wings melted into his demise.
You see the ground,
and think it safer to fall from the nest,
the assumed, the nearer to the ground.
But look up.
Limitless. Blue and clear as sapphire glass.
What fear?
You think yourself bound?
How can this be,
with forever in every direction.
Icarus had it down.
Better fall far and glorious,
than with a quick and painless thud.
